RIP Mausi die Katze

Mausi the human is in mourning this evening. Her beloved black and white cat, also Mausi, was killed this afternoon by a dog that cornered her in a field near her home. The dog belongs to a local huntsman who was unable to prevent the dog from attacking her and before he could stop the animal Mausi was dead.

She has been buried in a favourite corner of the garden and some special flowers planted over her resting place. We are both rather upset at this sudden and unexpected tragedy.

  1. Ooh, I am so very sorry.
That is no way for any family member to go.

May you both find a peaceful place in your souls to remember Mausi die Katze fondly... and to forgive animals for following their instinct.

    I am so sorry.

  2. Thank you Roses, we blame the owner who doesn't control the dog properly at any time. It's an accident waiting to happen.

  3. So sorry to hear of your loss. May Mausi be in a better place.

As an owner of two medium sized dogs, both with an affinity for chasing cats, ducks, or whatever will run away, I do know that the responsibility rests with the dog's owner ... for dogs will be dogs, and the hunting instinct is strong in so many of them.

Again, sorry for your sad and tragic loss.

  4. Thanks Richard, we just hope it was quick and that she didn't suffer in the process.
